  The United States Forestry Service not too long ago boasted over 40 water-tanker fire fighting aircraft. Now they have about 9 aircraft and they are plagues with mechanical and maintenance issues. The main problem is that the planes are all Cold War era relics that formerly flew reconnaissance or heavy lift missions.     […]
