The Curtiss-Groupil Duck

Famous American aircraft designer Glenn Curtis made the power plant for this unwieldy aircraft in part to show he had not stolen a patent from the Wright Brothers. The actual engine was called the Curtiss OXX. The seaplane version never flew, but a land version flew in 1917. It did not help the lawsuit.
