Friend Of Mine Found This Film His Dad Made Of VJ Day.

by Daniel Russ on June 9, 2011

65 Years Ago my Dad shot this film along Kalakaua Ave. in Waikiki capturing spontaneous celebrations that broke out upon first hearing news of the Japanese surrender. Kodachrome 16mm film: God Bless Kodachrome, right? I was able to find an outfit (mymovietransfer.com) to do a much superior scan of this footage to what I had previously posted, so I re-did this film and replaced the older version.

Please let me know if you’re looking for a article writer for your
site. You have some really good posts and I believe I
would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of
the load off, I’d absolutely love to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine.
Please blast me an email if interested. Many thanks!
