The Astonishing Industrial Capacity of World War II America.

In January 1943 Eisenhower told his staff and requisition officers that he desperately needed trucks. Less than a month later, a convoy left Norfolk, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland and New York, New York. It was 20 heavy cargo ships.

It conveyed 5000 two and a half ton trucks, 2000 cargo trailers, 400 dump trucks, 80 fighter planes, and for ballast, 12,000 pounds of coal, 1,000 tons of soap, 16,000 tons of flour, 9,000 tons of sugar, oh, and 4,000 sub machine guns.

It’s funny how no German took into consideration that you can be defeated in part, by the capability of getting allnecessary assets where they need to be. So yes, 105 mm rounds and 30.06 ammo defeated the Nazis.

So did dump trumps and sugar.
