Douglas Aircraft engineer Bruce Del Mar, conceived and constructed the DH-20 actually an adaption of an earlier prototype and it was called the DH-2Whirlymite. The DH-20 was intended as a Medvac tool capable of transporting a pilot and two passengers, or a pilot and one patient in a litter. The DH-20 had twin rotors and it could be folded and deploying out of small landing zones. It was funded and it never entered production.
