As we have addressed here many tomes, the Germans had a panoply of heavy tank guns and old Panzer chassis. So every expendable generation of chassis became a possible platform for a new anti tank gun. I have been researching and once again I am stunner that the Germans were able to produce 67,000 tanks or anti tank guns on the battlefields of the world. The Russian produced 106,000 tanks or anti tank guns. The British produced just under 50,000 and the US produced 102,000. The Japanese made 4500 tanks and SPGs.
