Previously Classified Atomic Bomb Footage

by Daniel Russ on May 16, 2017

Recently the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory released previously classified films of atomic bomb tests conducted by the US in the 1950s. Some of the footage is astonishing in its beauty and symmetry. Some of these explosions are air bursts, some are filmed in slow motion and some are underground tests.

I have attached the YouTube link.

They are astounding.

It is great these are being preserved. I trained to film these tests decades ago. I am glad they are being preserved. Just as a mild suggestion to make capital see if these can be rendered on to DVDs and sold to profit the project.
