Samuel Forster was a Colonial Revolutionary who designed the first actual indigenous American Flag. It was appropriately called the Forster Flag. Minutemen in April 19th, 1775 carried this flag and it was seen at Concord and Lexington. There ware only 35 of these silk flags known to have existed. There was a red field with 13 white silk patches sewn into the fabric to reprint the colonies.

It was sold  to benefit the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin at the Dolph Briscoe Center.
