Japanese World War II POW Statistics.

I found these in a very dense book entitled: Hidden Horrors, Japanese war Crimes In World War II by Yuki Tanaka. Westview Press 1996. The Japanese were absolutely brutal to prisoners and if they took you you had a one in three chance of dying in captivity and almost every person they held was treated miserably, or starved, tortured or worked to death.
