Former SECDEF Donald Rumsfeld

Upon his appointment as Secretary of Defense in 2000, Donald Rumsfeld began to reform the Pentagon, redirecting its focus from a traditional Army (with heavy artillery and ground troops) to a 21st Century war machine (boasting high-technology communications and potent air support).
