Karar, Soviet Jumping Tank Design
Karar Soviet Jumping Tank Design
Drawn up in 1942, the Karar was an idea well outside the box of most war designers.
This nine foot tall machine was an armored sphere carrying submachine guns or anti yank rifles. Locomotion was provided by six large spring driven legs that jumped up to 15 feet. Some propel while others withdraw. Inside the armored sphere a single operator drove and fired the heavy machine guns and anti tank rifles.
