Cold War Bomber Intercepts

by Daniel Russ on August 22, 2012

During the Cold War, Soviet and US bomber aircraft often probed the defenses of each other by flying into each other’s airspace or close to it. When a bomber went up on either side, a fighter went up to escort them out. So I found this great website called AcesFlyingHigh. Here are some great photos of the escorts through the Cold War and the air craft all identified.
