Lillian Boyer and Billy Brock

Lillian Boyer was born on June 16, 1901 in Hooper Nebraska. She died on February 1st 1989 in San Diego. From 1921 to 1929 Lillian Boyer walked out on top of a wing on a Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny” Army Trainer biplane while aloft. She was working as a waitress when a friend invited her to fly. Somehow she engineered a deal to do flying shows across the country as a performer. She toured around the country and in Canada flying with former World War I fighter pilot Billy Brock. She did 352 shows where she walked across a wing or went from one plane to another. Among these show were 143 where she moved from a moving automobile to a plane. She also did 37 parachute jumps.

  2. Lillian Boyer, just a mere teen at nineteen, went on to perform daring aerial wing walking shows all over the country and in Canada! She pioneered some daring techniques. She lived a long life, but none of us know what happened to her after new regulations forced her and other wing walkers to stop performing. The movies made about her daring feats are still amazing! I would like to know more about her!
