The Nazi’s made six million lightweight, portable, single shot, disposable anti tank guns that made short work of Allied armor. The round was 3.9 inch, or 100mm. It was a recoilless rocket propelled shape charge that was deadly at close range. You don’t see many of these in the movies, but apparently around the time of the Normandy invasion, 34% of all British armor kills were from the Panzerfaust or Panzerschrek (A German copy of the American M-1 Bazooka). In urban combat especially in Russia the number of tank kills from portable Panzerfausts rose to 70%. They were great. In fact US paratroopers who captured caches of Panzerfausts took them and used them to good effect against Nazi armor. They also showed up on the Allied side during the Ardennes Offensive
