George S. Patton made extensive use of US made 105mm howitzers. He countered better German tanks with smarter use of fire-power. The Canadians made their own self propelled 105mm gun and called it the M7 Motor Carriage. The British used this weapon but called it The Priest. The Bishop was the Priest upgunned to the 25 pounder.

 

It featured 62mm frontal armor, traveled 42 kilometers an hour speed and also featured a Browning .50cal machine gun.
