The Foo Fighter That A B-24 Pilot Fired On.

B-24 Liberator of the type flown by Roman Sobinski, who saw a UFO follow it
Consolidated B-24 Liberator

March 25th, 1942, Second Lieutenant Roman Sobinski is commanding 301 Royal Air Force bomber squadron over Zuiderzee. His Consolidated B-24 Liberators were on their way home after a bombing mission over Essen in the Ruhr Valley. While flying lead element in the formation, he heard a radio call from his tailgunner. An orange colored luminous disc was pacing the bomber. Their altitude was 14,000 feet. The object stayed fairly close, about a football field distance. The object was moving along with the plane at about 180 miles an hour. The pilot made a few quick maneuvers but couldn’t shake the bogey. After five minutes, the object flew off at approximately 1000 miles per hour.

Foo Fighters were a type of UFO.

  1. Sobinski was flying a Wellington bomber, not a B-24 Liberator. No.301 Sqdn did not operate Liberators until at least April 1943.
